The truly Wonderful Barn in Leixlip, Kildare. Built in 1743, this unusual conical structure served as a grain store and an eye-catching prospect tower. Met Workshop, together with Howley Hayes Cooney and Aecom are working with Kildare County Council to conserve and develop the barn, adjacent house, and ancillary farm buildings for the community. A lovely sunny day, and a great turnout for the public consultation day earlier this month, to discuss how this amazing historic site could be adapted for future re-use and enjoyed by local communities in to the future.
